ME ON YOU STUDY NO. 1

In this latest series, we see how identity becomes imbedded in style and how a relationship is translated when a persons’ clothing is worn by others. Here de Castro photographs her friends in entire looks from her own closet to create a kind of self-portraiture. By layering the visual markers of self-style onto those of her subjects, she examines intimacy through the act of sharing a wardrobe, as well as the mirroring effect that occurs when one is read through their loved ones.
